Who am I

Olá, I’m Ken Davis! Welcome to Português Gringo, where I make learning Portuguese simple, fun, and practical for gringos! As an American on a mission to master Portuguese, I know firsthand how tricky this language can be—especially when native speakers talk at lightning speed or when you mix up "coco" (coconut) with "cocô" (uh... not coconut). 😅

My accent? A work in progress—and probably always will be! But hey, that just means I know exactly what it’s like to learn Portuguese as a gringo. Through this channel, I help fellow gringos speak real Portuguese with confidence by breaking things down in a way that actually makes sense for English speakers. Just practical, real-world Portuguese that you can use without sounding like a Google Translate robot.
